Our History

Heartland Environmental Associates, Inc. (Heartland) was incorporated in 1990 to meet the environmental needs of a diverse group of clients by offering a complete and comprehensive spectrum of environmental services. Heartland’s professional staff has a combined experience of over 60 years in environmental consulting. This experience provides Heartland with the tools necessary to give our clients a complete and professional job that will stand up to the rigors of governmental examination.

Our Philosophy

The Heartland philosophy of management is to provide consulting services with a high degree of integrity, quality, and professionalism in order to effectively and efficiently solve our clients' problems. In a world of huge and impersonal environmental consulting companies that had grown too big to offer a cost-effective product, Heartland saw a need for a more streamlined approach that addresses environmental problems in a reasonable manner.  Heartland believes in personal service.  We believe that by taking the time to listen to our clients' needs and concerns, we can provide a better service that is satisfactory to the client, the government, and the environment.  Many business owners are reluctant to address environmental issues because they feel they are too complicated, too costly, and too difficult to understand.  The staff at Heartland will take the time to explain what we do and why we do it, so that you know what your dollars are buying.  We feel that it is critical to discuss what each client’s goals are, so that we can develop a plan to accomplish these goals in the most timely and cost-effective way possible.
